The Brooklyn Antiquarian Book Fair in September

An important transitional event

An important transitional event

The rare book field is tradition laden.  The way things were is the way they will continue to be, that is unless you are Marvin Getman, the show promoter, who thinks carefully and works hard to ensure exhibitors do well.  In Brooklyn come September Marvin will be building further on his ambition to establish a major book fair in a time slot he is making important with his deft choices of timing, venue and categories.  September wasn’t on anyone’s radar until Marvin built an annual show in Brooklyn to fill the time slot.  This year, now his fourth, is seeing continuing growth.

This year’s place and dates:

The Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint

September 8-10, 2017

Here’s the event’s website:  www.brooklynbookfair.com

Mark your calendars.
