Here is some news you may have missed: The World's First Text Printed On Paper - 770 A.D. Take that, Gutenberg! This Bird & Bull Press item by Huntington Williams, published in 1965, recounts his lecture to the Baltimore Bibliophiles. It seems the Japanese were printing some short prayers on slips of paper at that time, though nothing on a level with Gutenberg. So, we can still credit Gutenberg with the first book, but the Japanese with the first printed ephemera. Item 15. $85.

Item 31 is a complete run of The British Lithographer. This journal was published for four years from 1891-1895, six issues per year for a total of 24. It is filled with all the trade and technical data of the time for this printing process. $1,750.
