Source Title The Americana Library of Joseph F. Dush, of Willard, Ohio
Description Joseph F. Dush, of Williard, Ohio was an exceptional collector of the old school. His focus was Ohio and the Midwestern section of the United States. He was an acquirer. At the time of his death, in 1987, 4,000 pounds of books were removed from his attic and it would take a series of five auctions to disperse his ephemera, paintings, antiques, household possessions and of course books.
Scope of Text It has not been possible to include every lot. At the Cowan sale 75 lots were reserved for bidders to compose lots of sundry ephemera. The exact composition of these lots were never recorded. As well, in a few cases, the descriptions were too vague to be searchable in the AED. Every other lot has been included. In total in the AED there are 863 Dush lots.
