About Us Monthly On-Line Rare Book Auctions. Antiquarian Auctions is the first purely on-line rare book auction house in the world and has been developed by booksellers for international collectors & the booktrade. Only booksellers who are in good standing with one of the recognised trade associations or who are vetted by Antiquarian Auctions may become sellers. Booksellers upload books directly to the auctions under their own names via an on-line listing web-page. By restricting sellers to established dealers AA seeks to maintain the highest standards of the trade to give buyers confidence in the sellers so avoiding the pitfalls of the general internet auction sites.Monthly sales are held. The sales run for a week at a time starting and ending at fixed times. Viewing and bidding takes place throughout the week. All lots are fully described and illustrated on the site.Buyers may contact the sellers for further details and information.Extended time bidding prevents end of auction 'sniping'. The sales are run in US Dollars.
