Doyle's Catches a Prize

Peter Costanzo

Peter Costanzo

Peter Constanzo, a member of the book department at Bloomsbury New York for three years, the past two as co-auctioneer with Stephen C. Massey, has been appointed co-director of the book department at Doyle New York.  Doyle is an estate specialist.  Mr. Costanzo joins Edward Ripley-Duggan as co-director.  His expertise is in Americana, literature, and autographs - in general things in English.  Mr. Duggan's brings more of a European perspective.

The firm holds two 'printed' sales a year, in April and November.  Books, prints, maps, manuscripts and photography, related objects and paintings will be included.  Quality material identified in estates throughout the year is auctioned in these special sales.  Individual consignments are also welcomed.

About himself when asked Mr. Constanzo had this to say, "My strength is in unearthing value and in seeing good material through to great outcomes."

Mr. Constanzo graduated Reed College and earned a masters from the Sotheby's Institute.

He can be reached by email at peter.costanzo@DoyleNew York.com.  The main telephone number is 212.427.2730.  The Doyle website is:
