John Seller was certainly ambitious, at least in the title, with his Atlas Minimus, or a Book of Geography shewing all the Empires, Monarchies, Kingdomes, Regions, Dominions, Principalities and Countries in the Whole World. Actually, these maps are minimus in size and detail. The first edition maps were also usable as playing cards, though this circa 1678 second edition cannot be so used. However, this is still an early English atlas featuring contemporary hand coloring. £40,000 (US $80,680).
