Along with being a Federal District Judge, Hanford was a writer, publishing both histories and novels. This is a book that may not appeal to a lot of collectors, but those interested in Whitman County, Washington, will absolutely want it. Whitman County is a largely rural place in eastern Washington, along the Idaho border. Only around 40,000 people reside there, most in Pullman, home of Washington State University. Otherwise, the main industry of Whitman County is agriculture. Item 23 is a Plat Book of Whitman County, Washington. It was published by the Anderson Map Company on the other side of the state, Seattle, in 1910.
