2019: We are off to the races

For the week ended Saturday 5 January 6 auctions were archived to the Rare Book Hub Transaction Database; one in Swedish krona, and 5 in US dollars.  The sell-through rate was as rare as a Gutenberg Bible:  95% while turnover was slim:  $627,597.30.  Even bibliophiles have to take some time away. 

 

Personally, I found the thin market attractive as I brought about 25 lots of mid-Hudson ephemera as well as a 20th century impressionist painting of Rondout.
