Nine New Booksellers' Catalogues Reviewed This Month

- by Michael Stillman

Nine new catalogues.

This month we review nine new booksellers' catalogues. Librairie Métamorphoses has a collection of rare books and valuable documents. Garrett Scott Bookseller has his first printed catalogue in 9 years, but he still is offering some of the strangest and most unusual material you have ever seen. Zephyr Used & Rare Books says “there's always more,” which is to say their varied offerings of uncommon books and ephemeral printed items have no limits.

Among the more specifically defined topics, we find the William Reese Company focuses on politics and war. Antiquariat Kainbacher targets the Orient and Africa. Jonathan A. Hill Bookseller features Japanese, Chinese & Korean books, manuscripts & scrolls. Shapero Rare Books has signed, inscribed, and limited edition books. The Veatchs Arts of the Books focuses on private presses, typography, artists' books, fine bindings, and more. James Cummins Bookseller and Between the Covers Rare Books offer a joint catalogue of literature, photography, and miscellaneous items.
